Terms & Conditions
Northland Experiences Ltd accepts bookings subject to the following conditions;
CONTRACT
This contract between Northland Experiences and you the client being any person travelling or intending to travel on a tour supplied by Northland Experiences as the operator. The contract, including all matters arising from it, is subject to New Zealand Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts. Only Employees and Directors of Northland Experiences have authority to vary the terms.
This is a fully supported tour under the direction of your tour leader, who is responsible for the groups’ health and safety and enjoyment. Tour Leaders’ instructions must be followed at all times
PRICE
The price is quoted in New Zealand dollars and includes GST of 15%. The price is based on prices at the time of publishing and Northland Experiences hereby reserves the right to modify without notice those prices in any way considered necessary or desirable. Organised tour accommodations are based on twin/double share accommodation. A single supplement is available at an additional cost.
DEPOSIT/ CONFIRMATION AND FINAL PAYMENT
We require a $500 deposit when you book, and the balance 60 days out from the tour date. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the deposit payment. Northland Experiences or their agents reserve the right to decline any booking at their discretion.
CANCELLATION
If a client cancels a Northland Experience Tour the following charges will be applied.
1. If you cancel prior to 6 weeks prior to the start of the tour you will be given a 90% refund.
2. If you cancel in the period between 6 weeks and 3 weeks prior to the start of the tour you will be given a 50% refund.
3. There will be no refunds for cancellations in the 3 weeks prior to the tour start.
4. If a client joins after the departure date, or leaves before the finish date, no refund will be paid.
Date Change – rather cancellation
We charge a $50 per person admin fee for date changes.
PAYMENT
Credit card payments are acceptable with all commission charges to the clients account.
INSURANCE
Northland Experiences recommends that the client takes tour cancellation insurance together with all other necessary travel insurance. Obtaining all necessary insurance is the responsibility of you the client and Northland Experiences cannot be held liable for any failure on your part to get insurance.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
When you book you must notify us of any medical condition, medical history or medication that you are on.
CHANGES TO TOURS
Northland Experiences will use its best endeavours to ensure that all tours are operated as advertised. It may be that reasonable changes in the itinerary need to be made where deemed necessary and advisable by Northland Experiences. Changes will be advised to the client as soon as is reasonably possible. Where a tour service needs to be changed, a substitute of similar quality or standard will be provided.
WEATHER
Adverse weather conditions may mean that planned activities cannot proceed as intended. A decision to change an advertised tour based on the weather conditions will be made by a tour leader at this time and is made in the best interest of the group and their safety. Northland Experiences and/or their contracted suppliers cannot be held responsible to any changes as a result of the weather.
RISK DISCLOSURE
Bookings are accepted on the understanding that clients are aware that they are taking part in an activity (cycling) that may involve certain inherent risks, including inclement weather, rough terrain and conditions, and other accidents that may cause injury or loss to themselves and others or loss or damage to their own or others property. Despite these risks, they wish to take part in that activity and accept sole responsibility for their own safety.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Northland Experiences, its agents, contractors and tour leaders do not accept responsibility or liability for loss, damage to, or theft of personal belongings (owners’ risk) or for any expenses, including medical and transport expenses arising from personal accident, injury, illness or hospitalisation.
Northland Experiences and their tour leaders reserve the right to make any alterations to the itinerary in the interest of safety, comfort or any unforeseen circumstances due to causes such as weather, illness or misadventure. Every reasonable endeavour will be made to keep to published schedules, but no guarantee is given.
Northland Experiences will not be held liable for costs incurred by change, delay or the missing of connecting services.
Northland Experiences reserves the right to exclude a person from a tour at anytime, if in the opinion of the tour leader or operator, that person is likely to risk the health, safety or comfort of other clients, or themselves through their behaviour. In such circumstances, Northland Experiences will not be obliged to offer any refund or transfer of booking.
These terms and conditions apply to each participant included in a group booking. Where a booking is made on behalf off a group of two or more people then each participant in the group must be made aware of and accept these terms and conditions.
